Dew point is a temperature independent measurement of the moisture concentration in a gas. MBW dew point hygrometers use ‘chilled mirror’ technology which precisely controls and monitors the temperature of a mirror’s surface within a sampling head to the exact point at which dew (or frost) forms. This technique based on fundamental physical principles, gives a rapid, highly accurate measurement. When combined with a high accuracy ambient temperature measurement this information can be used to give very accurate relative humidity measurement.
In the UK, ROTRONIC are proud to represent MBW Calibration, the world leader in chilled mirror hygrometers.
MBW dew point hygrometers are used in National Standards Labs, meteorological applications, chemistry laboratories and throughout processing, manufacturing, engineering and storage industries. See our application area to see the many industries and areas where our products are deployed.
Our range of dew point chilled mirror hygrometers includes:
MBW 473: portable chilled mirror hygrometer for dew point, frost and temperature measurement but with remote measuring heads for use in chambers, pipes or gas flows
MBW 573: a high performance 19” rack format instrument with an integral measurement head, pressure sensor, sample pump and flow meter for continuous precision monitoring of frost/dew point
MBW 973: a colour touch screened transportable chilled mirror hygrometer for dew/frost point, and temperature measurement in air or gas with integral measuring heads
MBW 373: Flagship dew point hygrometer with sophisticated features and a true capability to reach -95°C frost point.
MBW 973-SF6: Transportable SF6 dew point hygrometer with sample recovery
Our representation of MBW in the UK began on the 1st July 2004. To maintain the high standards of service and support MBW have come to expect, maintenance and repairs are provided by Talbot Scientific Ltd who have many years of experience maintaining the MBW products.
The chilled mirror condensation technique is without equal as a reference measurement method, and is used by almost every National Metrology Institute (NMI) and accredited laboratory world-wide.
