New MBW integration with Rotronic HygroGen2 – the lowest measurement uncertainties in portable temperature and humidity calibration
ROTRONIC has worked closely with MBW, to integrate their products into the HygroGen2 portable temperature and humidity calibration system. Particularly well suited is the MBW 473 Dew Point Mirror, whose RP2 measuring head is designed to be directly inserted into the working volume of the HygroGen2 chamber, and works across its full range. Temperature and humidity probes from all manufacturers can be calibrated with typical expanded measurement uncertainty at ambient conditions of less than 0.7 %rh. See here for more details.
New MBW T12 Multichannel Reference Thermometer
The MBW T12 is a highly precise and stable platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) based multichannel temperature measurement system. Using a custom designed high quality measurement circuit, 24-bit analogue to digital converters and multiplexor sampling, the T12 provides 12 channels of low uncertainty temperature data for validation and calibration engineers. When used with an MBW chilled mirror, the accompanying PC software logs and plots live temperature and dew point measurements and calculates RH on the fly, providing the most versatile chamber validation tool available. New MBW 973-CA Portable Chilled Mirror for Compressed Air Lines
Application specific versions of the MBW 973 are now available, which optionally include an internal sample pump, calibrated external PRT, and Peli transport case. The 973-CA is supplied with a choice of couplings and is adapted to plug directly into compressed air sample lines to make in-situ dew/frost point measurements. All versions include the Optimal Response Injection System (ORIS) for the fastest time to stabilisation at low frost points. See here for more details
Measurement Dew/Frost point is a temperature independent parameter determined by the pressure and moisture concentration of a gas. MBW dew point hygrometers use ‘chilled mirror’ technology which precisely controls and monitors the temperature of a mirror’s surface within a sampling head to the exact point at which dew (or frost) forms. This technique based on fundamental physical principles, gives a rapid, highly accurate measurement. When combined with a high accuracy ambient temperature measurement this information can be used to give very accurate relative humidity measurement.
